This webpage is intended to offer help to North Carolina local governments interested in entering into agreements with other local governments. It has three components:
- An online copy of an article entitled “Interlocal Cooperation, Regional Organizations, and City-County Consolidation”. This is Article 10 in the Institute of Government publication County and Municipal Government in North Carolina.
- A link to the Interlocal Cooperation Act, N.C. Gen. Stat. §§ 160A-460 through 160A-466.

- A set of links to model interlocal agreements found on the Internet.
