This program provides an overview of the governing board's role in strategic planning and policy development. The program will introduce elected officials to the key components of a strategic planning process, offer guidelines for conducting a strategic planning retreat and contracting with facilitators, and suggest ways to monitor and evaluate the outcomes of strategic plans once they are adopted.
