Advanced Program for Registers of Deeds

This course will enhance students' knowledge and analytical tools for fulfilling registers' responsibilities and for managing their offices. Topics include discretionary decision making; liability and risk management; managing information technology; budgeting and financial planning; performance measurement; intergovernmental relationships; introduction to real estate law for non-lawyers; personnel administration; public records management and access; advanced register law topics; and values and ethics for registers.

Prerequisites

Completion of the Basic Register of Deeds School and basic certification by the North Carolina Register of Deeds Association certification program

CEU from the NC Association of Registers of Deeds
Certification
Certification available from the NC Association of Registers of Deeds for successfully completing all courses and passing a comprehensive examination.
